NorBuild’s Timber Lighting Columns incorporate the warmth and finish of solid wood. They provide an attractive, natural presence in urban settings and are ideal for sensitive locations where a low environmental impact is required. Columns are manufactured from surface treated, glulaminated Scottish Larch and are fitted with galvanised and epoxy coated steel footings and stainless steel washers and bolts. Columns are treated with the best preservative product (Sikkens) and are expected to be maintenance free for 6-8 years, thereafter treated with one further coat of Sikkens (brush applied) as and when required. Columns sizes currently available (as illustrated) are respectively 7.2m with reflector at 6m, 9.1m with lantern at 8m and 11.5m with lantern at 10m.

Luminaries & reflectors
NorBuild’s current portfolio of Timber Lighting Columns are fitted with luminaries and reflectors manufactured by iGuzzini and Candela Light, either singly or in combination.

iGuzzini’s Nuvola luminary is an indirect lighting system designed to create uniform, glare-free illumination. The system comprises a diffuser screen and a pole-mounted Lingotto light. Nuvola directs the light up towards the screen which then reflects light downwards without letting any filter upwards, minimising light pollution and energy wastage.
